Cooperative Education (Co-op) is an educational program combining classroom study with career related work experience. Co-op students combine classes with a series of planned, supervised, and paid periods of employment at a work site approved by their colleges or universities.
The Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening cooperative education throughout the State of Ohio. Its members include faculty and staff from high education institutions and hiring managers and university recruiters from businesses which participate in cooperative education.
Each year, the Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) awards scholarships in the amount of $500-$1000 to:
a) high school students planning to participate in a co-op program at an OCEA member institution
b) students in OCEA member 2-year institutions participating in a co-op program
